Annual Report to the Community and Breakfast Meeting
The Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley invites all interested community members to attend our Report to the Community and Annual Breakfast Meeting on Tuesday morning, March 23, 2010. The event will take place at Fox Banquets & Rivertyme Catering, 111 E Kimball St., Appleton, WI.
Registration is at 7:15 am, breakfast at 7:30 am, and the program begins at 8:00 am. This event is our opportunity to report 2009 program outcomes; our financial position and our future strategic objectives to donors, partner agencies, volunteers, elected officials, community leaders, and other interested individuals.

Christian Family Radio's Help for the Homeless Campaign 2010
More than 500 local businesses, schools and churches are participating in WEMI & WEMY Christian Family Radio's 18th Annual Help for the Homeless campaign, February 21 - March 21, by collecting new personal hygiene and cleaning items for local homeless and crisis programs. Fourteen agencies in the Fox Cities area, including the Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley, will receive donations from this drive. Click here for more information.
The Volunteer Center of East Central Wisconsin's Human Race
The annual Human Race will take place on the morning of Saturday, May 1. The Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley is looking for team members to participate on our behalf. The funds we receive will be used specifically for case management services which help guide our homeless clients toward sustainable independence.
To get involved, simply print and use this form to collect pledges. Send in or drop off your pledge sheet and money to Jill Mitchler by Wednesday, April 28, at the Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley, 400 N. Division Street, Appleton, WI 54911. Individual tax receipts can be provided, if requested. Then, walk or run in the Human Race as a member of the Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley's team on May 1.
Individuals can make an even bigger impact by recruiting their friends, club and/or church members or co-workers. Don't forget that some companies will match the financial contributions of their employees! Please consider helping us create more awareness of our community's growing homeless population and ways to help reduce it.
20th Annual Garden Walk

Our longest-standing fund raising event, the Garden Walk is a walking tour of several local gardens, and also includes admission to the Fox Valley Garden Club's Horticultural Competition and Floral Show. More than 800 local residents enjoy the Garden Walk each year. Event tickets are distributed through local landscape and floral outlets and at the Emergency Shelter of the Fox Valley.
